Welcome to DMD Boxers!  Introducing Layla and Brutus DMD Boxers has started to breed quality, home raised, AKC and CKC registered boxers. We breed in accordance with the American Boxer Club breed standard and are dedicated to the continual improvement & advancement of this breed that we so deeply cherish in our hearts. Our goal is to breed sound, joyous, healthy, long lived, correctly structured boxers. When available our puppies are sold to approved homes. We glady educate new pet owners so that the puppy will become a loving & well behaved companion for life. Stud service may become available at a future date to approved, health tested bitches. | Why Boxers?  We were looking for a well rounded family dog. A loyal pet that would guard our home and family, and friendly and enthusiastically welcome friends. One who could rough-house with us, or play carefully with small children. A dog with the stamina to run outdoors all day or veg out on the couch all day and watch TV. Never happen, right? -- Wrong!! We found everything we wanted in a dog...BOXER!! About The Boxer The Boxer is a medium sized dog ranging from 21" in height for a female to 25" for a male. Adult weight is 50 -65 for a female and 65-80 for a male. Boxers are good with children. Athough, they can knock small children over when playing. They need to be trained not to jump on children or people. I recommend that a young boxer attend obedience training. They love being with their family. Sometimes a clown and always a puppy. Boxers seem like they never grow up. Even as adults they love to play. Boxers love their people and love attention. They enjoy daily walks outside. They require exercise daily. They enjoy running and jumping. Some Boxers enjoy agility.
They have a short coat and cannot tolerate extreme cold or heat. They prefer to lay by the fireplace and over the air conditioning vent.
Boxers are not for everyone, but once a Boxer lover, always a Boxer lover.
